Water Leak
If you suspect a water leak, contact the ACRD. Call 250-720-2700 during regular business hours, or 250-206-0021 for after hours emergencies.
Water appearing after heavy or continuous rainfall may be drainage rather than a leak. If conditions are dry, it is more likely a leak.
Leaks on the public side of the system, such as in the roadway or near hydrants, are the responsibility of the ACRD. If the issue is on private property, including inside the home or past the property line, the property owner must arrange repairs by a qualified plumber. The ACRD does not repair private leaks.
If a private leak caused unusually high water use, property owners may apply for a leak adjustment once the leak has been repaired and documentation is provided. The Beaver Creek Leak Policy outlines the steps and eligibility for this process.
